June thirteenth and no major catastrophes.
Ota and I have a maid... very decadent but affordable. When I went home for lunch today it was so thrilling to have all the laundry folded and sitting on the couch. All the dishes were washed and put away. All the beds were made and floors swept. All the toilet scrubbed. I could just sit down, have lunch, watch t.v. and head back to work. I highly recommend this lady. Her name is Ivette Campos and we found her on craigslist.com. Pam and Ted turned us onto having a more hands-on maid. Their maid organizes drawers, washes windows and even straightens their closet. Merry maids does NOT do this detailed work, so we fired them. I think we made the right choice.
On other news, we're getting a security system. It's a little comforting, given the increase in violent crimes in Vacaville. When I came home last night at nine they were still installing the hardware.
Ben has four teeth on top and four teeth on bottom. We tried to get a picture of the top teeth, since he likes to pitch himself backwards all the time. So far we're too tired to grab the camera at night. Soon though I hope to do it... but I always have bigger plans than time available.
In other news, Joann is in San Diego for the next four weeks and we're going down to visit her. Everyone is excited to see everyone. Grandpa is excited that we're all going to be in the same place at once. The first weekend (6/23) just Ben and I are going South. The second weekend (6/30) Ota is joining us. Jo says she wants to take the boys to the zoo, which I think is a fantastic idea. Ben already has conniptions of love whenever he sees the cats. His first time seeing monkeys, and lions, and polar bears, and walruses are going to so be exciting.
