This is what I get for saving the writing part of homework for the last day. Oh, I did part on Friday, part on Saturday, part on Sunday, but I scrambled to finish on Monday. At 1:54 a.m. I finially submitted the completed assignment. Why do I think readings should take precendence?
Ben, love him, happened to wake just as I was getting ready to unwind before bed. He proceeded to scream for about an hour, because I wasn't about to let him crawl into bed with me before I was ready to go to bed at all. By 3:30 a.m he was asleep in his own bed.
(still whining... yes... keep reading...)
I know, somewhere in the livingroom, my cellphone alarm went off when it was suppose to at 6:15 a.m. Good job you! Sadly, I kept sleeping. Ben, god bless him, crawled into bed around 7 a.m., waking the husband unit. He woke me as well, but my body said, "five more minutes." My mind, on the other hand, screamed, "HOLY SHIT, it's 7!" That gave me only 1/2 hour to get me and Ben ready and out the door, with enough time for me to get to work on time after quickly dropping Ben off at Holly's. I yelled for Ota to make way. Thankfully, Ben didn't want to take a shower, too. I was able to talk Ota into taking the reigns on dressing Ben. Thanks for husbands.
Ben was a little sad we didn't go for hamburgers. He always wants hamburgers or chicken nuggets. ugh... He was a very brave boy though, and didn't cry all that much when I handed him over to Holly. He only needed three kisses. Record drop off time of ten minutes.
Sadly, I got to work a whole minute late. I had thought I missed the inauguration, but I didn't calculate my time difference well and still had an hour. Coffee fueled me for the rest of the day. Jan let us all join together to watch the inauguration, then I rushed back to work. Though the whole day was rushed and jittery, I got a LOT of work done. :)
I get to school with five minutes to spare. Yippeee! That's when I open my gig bag and realize the mouse and power supply cord are back at home. Also, after that little set back, I realized I only have a short littel sharpie that I write brief gotcha notes, like pick up eggs and milk. Ridiculous. I have to manage my time better.
Thanks for sticking with me.
Here... here are some pictures to distract you from my foul language and obvious victim complex...
This is a cute little Grim Reaper from an Amigurumi book called "Creepy Cute." I've now got about four that I plan to crochet and stuff for various teens and recently un-teens. They're pretty quick, but obviously a waste of time when I should be working.
Here's a great picture of Ben's 2nd birthday party. I didn't make enough time for a cake, but we decided it didn't matter this time. Everybody got a monster size cupcake! It was a bug theme and the older kids got most the bugs. This was cool, because there were too many. The younger kids didn't need a bunch of crap to take home, but the older kids loved it. Some one even went through all the goodie bags and took things, which was uncool, but it's all just stuff. If stealing stuff is more important than just having fun, then that's a parenting issue, and not mine. I'd hate to think a parent did that kind of thing. That would be sad.
