Thanksgiving plans

Hoorah! Today is the day we have Jitka and Chris visit for a feast. I hope they like coming here because we never get enough chances to show our appreciation for family and friends.

Today's Menu:
  1. Roast turkey w/ sage garlic butter - Sunset Nov. 2009, p. 76
  2. Miso glazed baked salmon (homemade recipe)
  3. Marscapone chive mashed potates - Sunset Nov. 2009, p. 78
  4. Green beans w/ lemon bread crumbs - Sunset Nov. 2009 p.78
  5. Vegetarian gravy (homemade)
  6. Roasted acorn squash salad
  7. Hot Artichoke & Tarragon dip
  8. Carrots & pecans w/ honey glaze
Now, lets hope I remember to make all these items.
Two years ago I did Christmas and forgot the baked cherry tomatoes in cream. We had so many cherry tomatoes left over I was glad Ota took them to work.

Pictures later, if I remember to take them.

Ciao! Please celebrate what you're thankful for, not how the holiday was established in America. Good family, good food and a day of peace. :)

Ugh... too much wine and I left the Salmon up to Ota. What a mistake! The glaze wasn't cooked on top like it was supposed to be. I ended up having a lot left over, but made salmon cakes two days later. I also didn't like how my turkey came out; too dry. Oh well, better luck next time!
