First day of Summer Qtr

Today is the first day of a double load of classes for me. The Drexel classes I'm taking this summer are actually very easy. Children's services and Automation are things I feel I know more about than your average library student. Children's, for example, is reviewing articles and tv programs this week for 0-2 age readers. How fun! Plus I am to read and review five board books. Piece of cake! I know I have five favorites upstairs that Ben will never let go to storage. Blankie, Dinosaur roar, and Chugga-Chugga Choo-Choo, are definitely keepers in this house.

Automation requires a lot of readings from Library Technology Reports from 2000-2008. The instructor seems a little disconnected, since the course work and due dates still haven't been developed for 2011. As an avid reader of the twitter feed for this magazine (as well as receiving print copies at home) I know there has been major articles within the last two years regarding ILS and RDA development. Even though this class looks easy, my biggest hurdle will be adapting to old information.

As a side note, this blogpress app. for my iPhone is righteous. I have never been great at consistently blogging, but now it seems TOO easy.

Didi mention Ben makes his own breakfast now? It makes it sleeping in too easy. Since I quit my local library job I've had some trouble there. I decided to quit so I can finish school with at least a 3.5 gpa, but the break between semesters kills me. Time to get to work!

My house is still a mess...
